Bamboozle 2013 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc label design that effects your eyes before drinking its crafted and mind bendingly drinkable contents.
Our client a wine that created a talking point around a dinner table. With so many wines to choose from these days getting standout on shelf is the first critical part of the buying process. This wine was developed with that in mind but to also create a sense of fun around consumption. It also needed to appear premium and unique and if possible tell a story about the amazing tasting wine.
After trying the wine we were amazed at the strong passionfruit notes in the character. So strong were these notes that many of our staff members actually thought there was passionfruit in the wine. It was here that the Bamboozle name originated. Once we had a name it was a case of matching up some images that had the same quality and illusion.
The labels almost fully wrap around the bottle and the main front facing section contains a black and white optical illusion. These illusions tie in with the name Bamboozle and the drink itself, where things are not as they seem.
